Ingredients

4 potatoes

1 teaspoon of garam masala

1 teaspoon of chili powder

1 tablespoon of grated ginger

2 tablespoons of chopped cilantro

2 tablespoons of cumin

1 tablespoon of salt

100 grams of chickpea flour

100 milliliters of oil

Preparation

Step 1 : First, the potatoes are cooked until boiling, then cooled, peeled, and grated.

Step 2 : Next, they are placed in a bowl and mixed with garam masala, chili, cilantro, ginger, and salt.

Step 3 : All ingredients are mixed until a homogeneous dough is obtained.

Step 4 : Then, the mixture is shaped into flattened circles like discs and set aside.

Step 5 : Next, chickpea flour is mixed with water to achieve a thick consistency.

Step 6 : Oil is heated in a skillet, and the aaloo tikki discs are dipped in chickpea flour mixture, then fried in hot oil until golden.

Step 7 : Finally, the aaloo tikki are placed on paper towels to remove excess oil, and served with the preferred sauce and chopped cilantro.
