Ingredients
500 grams of flour
4 cups of oil
40 grams of chopped fresh cilantro
1 cup of milk
4 garlic cloves
1 tablespoon of grated ginger
2 tablespoons of black tea
2 cups of cooked chickpeas
3 black cardamoms
2 onions
3 tomatoes
1 tablespoon of cumin seeds
1 tablespoon of tomato purée
2 green chilies
1 teaspoon of fennel powder
1 tablespoon of ginger powder
1 teaspoon of turmeric powder
1 teaspoon of chopped cilantro
1 teaspoon of black pepper
1 tablespoon of grated amla
1 teaspoon of chili powder
2 teaspoons of cinnamon powder
1 cup of yogurt
2 potatoes
Preparation
Step 1 : To prepare this delicious dish, first peel and cube the potatoes.
Step 2 : Then, in a pot, heat 3 tablespoons of oil before adding the chopped potatoes.
Step 3 : Fry for 10 minutes, then remove.
Step 4 : In the same pan, add cilantro leaves, cumin, and chili powder, mixing for one minute.
Step 5 : Next, add the chickpeas, stirring and lowering the heat to the minimum.
Step 6 : Then, add all the spices, mix, and cook for about 2 minutes.
Step 7 : Afterward, add the potatoes and tomato slices, cooking for another minute before removing from heat.
Step 8 : Serve the dish in small pots, garnished with chili and cilantro.
Step 9 : To make the bread, mix the flour with chopped fresh cilantro and gradually add milk until forming an integrated, soft dough.
Step 10 : Sprinkle the surface with flour, knead until reaching the desired texture, and let the dough rise overnight or at least a couple of hours.
Step 11 : Then, stretch the dough, cut into circles, and fry in oil at 180°C.
Step 12 : Both preparations are served together on a tray to enjoy this tasty dish.
