Ingredients

3 tablespoons of coriander powder

2 teaspoons of cumin powder

3 chopped onions

3 tablespoons of oil

1 kilogram of chicken

2 tablespoons of garam masala

1 teaspoon of turmeric

2 teaspoons of grated ginger

2 tablespoons of grated garlic

2 chopped tomatoes

1 tablespoon of salt

1 cup of water

3 tablespoons of chopped cilantro

Preparation

Step 1 : Start by heating oil in a skillet and adding the coriander and cumin until they start to release their aroma, then remove from heat and set aside.

Step 2 : Proceed to chop the onions and divide them into two halves.

Step 3 : Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat and add 70% of the chopped onion, cooking until golden.

Step 4 : Next, add the chicken and sear until crispy.

Step 5 : Then, add the spices: garam masala, turmeric powder, ginger, garlic, tomatoes, and cook for another 10 minutes, seasoning with salt and pepper.

Step 6 : Incorporate the remaining onions and mix well, sautéing for 5 minutes.

Step 7 : Afterward, add a cup of water, stir, and bring to a boil.

Step 8 : Reduce the heat to the minimum and remove when the chicken is tender.

Step 9 : Finally, serve topped with the sauce and chopped cilantro.
