Ingredients

1 onion

4 garlic cloves

1 green chili

1 bunch of spinach

100 milliliters of cream

2 teaspoons of curry powder

1 cup of coconut milk

1 cup of broth

100 grams of brown rice

2 tablespoons of chutney of choice

1 cup of chickpea flour

1 teaspoon of baking powder

2 tablespoons of chutney of choice

3 tablespoons of olive oil

1 tablespoon of salt

1 teaspoon of pepper

Preparation

Step 1 : To prepare this delicious dish, first cook the rice in boiling water with salt for 25 minutes on low heat or until tender.

Step 2 : Then, peel and chop the onion, garlic, and ginger, and cut the chili into thin strips.

Step 3 : Chop half of the spinach.

Step 4 : In a hot pot, place the chopped spinach with 4 tablespoons of water.

Step 5 : Add the chopped onion, oil, and salt, stir and cook until ready.

Step 6 : Reserve the cooked spinach in a container and add oil, chickpea flour, cream, chopped onion, and salt.

Step 7 : Stir until all ingredients are combined and set aside.

Step 8 : In the same pot, place over heat and add two tablespoons of oil.

Step 9 : When hot, add the chopped onion, ginger, and garlic.

Step 10 : Cook for 3 minutes, add the curry powder, and lower the heat to minimum.

Step 11 : Dip the dumplings in the sauce and place them in the pot, cooking over low heat for approximately 5 minutes.

Step 12 : In a pan with hot oil, sauté the chili over high heat with a little salt and add the reserved spinach.

Step 13 : To serve, place the sautéed spinach over a bed of brown rice and top with the Punjabi kadhi.
