Ingredients

250 grams of black lentils

120 grams of red beans

2 tomatoes

1 onion

2 cloves of garlic

1 tablespoon of grated ginger

1 tablespoon of garam masala

1 tablespoon of turmeric

1 teaspoon of cinnamon

1 teaspoon of cayenne pepper

40 grams of butter

180 grams of heavy cream

1 tablespoon of fresh cilantro

4 pita bread

1 tablespoon of salt

Preparation

Step 1 : The lentils and beans are soaked for 10 to 12 hours.

Step 2 : Then, the beans are washed and drained and cooked in boiling water for 20 minutes.

Step 3 : The tomatoes, onions, and garlic are peeled, grated, and set aside.

Step 4 : In a pot, the grated ingredients are added along with the lentils and the rest of the ingredients, except for the heavy cream.

Step 5 : All is cooked for an hour on low heat.

Step 6 : Subsequently, the preparation is covered with hot water and salt, stirred, and served.

Step 7 : Finally, the heavy cream is drizzled over the top, chopped fresh cilantro is sprinkled, and served with pita bread as an accompaniment.
